Irregular Sizes is the music project of Sandesh Meghnath. Born in Durban, South Africa and now living in Ottawa, Canada music has been his constant companion. Growing up he immersed himself in music doing everything from playing table in Indian community groups, to performing classic music on French horn as part of orchestras. More
recently he has been exploring synthesizers and drums machines and how they can be used as expressive instruments. Each of these experiences has given him a new color to add to his palette that gives his music a unique diversity and feel.

After taking some time to experiment with sound and to make the
transition from instrumentalist to songwriter, he is presenting his
first EP, Moments of Stillness and Clarity. This album is an
exploration of combining the digital with the organic. He embraces the
blues and jazz that drove him deeper into music, and combines it with
modern elements like sampled drums and lush synthesizers. Recorded in a time of tension and uncertainty, the music was designed to calm the
listener and clear their mind. Hypnotizing arpeggios, flowing guitar
lines, punchy boom-bap drums and emotive chord progressions combine to create a unique listening experience. It is about pausing, taking a breath and fully experiencing the moment you are in.
